Hi, I'm Derek

I've spent my career helping teams change how they work. As an agile coach and delivery leader — including years with Agile Infusion, working across telecom, healthcare, and insurance — I watched the same pattern over and over: smart people buried in status reports, meeting notes, and project admin that had nothing to do with the actual work.

AI finally changes that — but only if you treat it as a process change, not a tool purchase. Most AI rollouts fail the same way most agile rollouts failed: the tooling shows up, the way of working never changes, and six months later nobody uses it.

So that's what I do now, as an independent consultant: I help businesses redesign their project management processes around AI, and I train the people who aren't technical to actually use it. No buzzwords, no over-engineered solutions — just new ways of working that stick.

When I'm not doing that, I'm pursuing my second Master's degree in Organizational Dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania — studying exactly how organizations adopt (and resist) change — cheering on the Eagles, or trying new restaurants around Philly.

I don't sell hours or complicated retainers. Every engagement starts with a free assessment where I learn how your team works and identify the biggest opportunities. Then you get a clear report showing exactly what I'd recommend, how much time it would save, and what it would cost.

No pressure, no surprises. If the ROI isn't there, I'll tell you. Life's too short for projects that don't make a real difference.
